Bobby Smith is a comedian, entrepreneur, and community advocate dedicated to using entertainment as a force for positive change. Through Comedy For The Goods, he leads initiatives that support underserved communities, empower youth, and create meaningful connections through laughter and service.
Secretary
Gina Santi is a San Antonio comedian and producer who serves as Secretary of Comedy For The Goods. She maintains organizational records, meeting documentation, and board communications, and produces recurring comedy showcases that support the organization's community work.
Treasurer
Mercedes Herrera is a comedy club manager who serves as Treasurer of Comedy For The Goods. She provides financial oversight, manages the organization's books and reporting, and helps ensure responsible stewardship of nonprofit resources.
Covers one professional comedian's performance at a community show at Haven for Hope or Starlite Recovery Center. Every comedian who performs for us is paid for their work.
Sponsors one full community comedy show — a monthly Haven for Hope night or a holiday show at Starlite Recovery Center — with 3 to 4 comedians performing for people who rarely get a night out.
Sponsors two community shows. Community Partners are recognized on our website and at the shows they fund, and receive an invitation to attend and see the impact firsthand.
Funds a full two-day Kids Comedy Camp session for youth ages 9–14, including scholarships for families who can't pay. Kids learn storytelling, timing and public speaking, then perform for family and friends.
Underwrites a full quarter of programming: three monthly Haven for Hope shows, every holiday show at Starlite, and youth workshops. Season Sponsors receive top recognition at every event, social media acknowledgment, and an annual impact summary.
Comedy For The Goods Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 41-3375197) with a three-member board, a dedicated nonprofit bank account, and programs that run on a fixed schedule.
